We are currently looking for a Regional Infection C! ontrol Nurse to oversee the practices, policies, and procedures related to prevention and control of infectious diseases within the Tennessee Department of Corrections. This position is based out of our regional office in Nashville.
The Regional Infection Control Nurse will perform a variety of duties including collecting, defining, interpreting, and reporting data, assist in the development of delivery of care to inmates with infectious diseases, and serve as a consultant and provide guidance to correctional facility nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking, and reporting of those identified with infectious diseases.
Requirements:
- Valid Tennessee RN licensure
- 4 years of experience working with infection prevention and control
- CIC (Certified Infection Control) preferred
- Experience in correctional environment preferred
- Ability to pass a background clearance and dr! ug test
