More details about this career opportunity please read the description below. JOB SUMMARY: Directs and supervises nursing and related activities of the geriatric behavioral health. Plans assignments of staff; ensures department is staffed with adequate coverage Monday through Friday 8-4:30; establishes and maintains good working relations with medical staff, other staff, and departments, and hospital administration. Directs maintenance of required records and reports; to participate in ! formulating nursing policies pertaining to Geriatric Behaviora! l Health staff. Participates in evaluating job performance and competency of staff. Assists in orientation of new personnel. Participates and promotes the Quality Improvement/Performance Improvement program. Promotes professional growth personally and in staff. Promotes the nursing process and the development of nursing standards of care and practice. Follows nursing and hospital policies and procedures.
Licensure: Current Registered Nurse State of Tennessee license. BSN preferred.
Experience: Two years clinical nursing experience with experience in supervision preferred;
