Location: Knoxville Tennessee

Description: LCS is in need of Executive Director right now, this vacancy will be placed in Tennessee. Detailed specification about this vacancy opportunity kindly see the descriptions. We are seeking a hospitality-minded, professional Executive Director to lead our extraordinary leadership team at Clarity Pointe in Knoxville, Tennessee. This location is the first in a group of free-standing memory care commun! ities managed by CRSA , an LCS company based in Memphis, Tennessee. The Knoxville location opened for occupancy in May 2013. By late Fall 2013, the current Knoxville Executive Director will relocate and assist with Clarity Pointe start-ups in Little Rock and Fayetteville, Arkansas. A future Executive Director opening may potentially occur at one of those sites.

Each Clarity Pointe community includes approximately 56 memory care residences.

The Executive Director is responsible for all areas of management within the memory care community. The Executive Director has demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of administration and has maintained a high level of performance.

Required Skills

Must assure the provision of quality services needed by residents, consistent with the policies and procedures established by owner/governing board.

Must have a commitment to excellence in resident care and have a strong nursing orientation.

! Must be able to act as clinical coordinator in the absence of! the community’s RN or LPN. May be required to administer medications from time to time.

A broad understanding of federal and state laws related to the operation of the community.

A knowledge of and special sensitivity to the needs of the aging.

Ability to work effectively and diplomatically with a variety of publics, including residents, owners, boards of directors, community groups, government agencies, etc.

Ability to manage and actively participate in occupancy development through marketing and professional networking, ensuring that targeted occupancy goals are met. Prepare annual marketing plan and budget.

A background in financial management, including budget preparation, cash flow management, and analysis of financial reports.

Excellent hospitality skills.

Ability to write clearly and concisely.

Ability to effectively communicate verbally with individuals and both large and small groups.
Ability to effectively supervise staff members and to work cooperatively as part of a team.

Ability to work independently with self-discipline and self-motivation.

The Executive Director has consistently met or exceeded goals and expectations related to community management.

Required Experience

BS or MS degree in health care or a closely related area is required.

At least 5 years of experience in skilled nursing, assisted living and Alzheimer/dementia care is required.

Regulatory knowledge of the skilled nursing, assisted living and memory care fields is essential.

Nursing Home Administrator licensure is strongly preferred.

Current, active RN licensure in Tennessee is preferred.
