We are excited to announce that at this time we are looking for Patient Advocates to join our team of over 10,000 global field representatives in several regions making over 20 million product details annually for our pharmaceutical and biotech clients.

Patient Advocate

Patients are at the center of our business strategies. The Patient Advocate Program is an advocacy program designed to be an educational resource. Patient Advocates provide disease state education and resources to help patients have a productive conversation with their ! doctors. Patient advocates are responsible for organizing comm! unity-based educational programs and participating in one-on-one communications with patients. Patient Advocates do not provide medical advice.

The Patient Advocates will:
Build disease state specific patient communities and educate through disease awareness by creating community advocacy event opportunities and other patient-driven initiatives.
Provide patient education
Develop local Patient Advocacy opportunities by creating and/or supporting existing community networks and educational forums
Educate community stakeholders on disease awareness to support improved patient health literacy
Develop educational messages as well as support disease awareness campaigns
Organize patient and provider speaker programs
Partner (non financial) with national advocacy and patient organizations
Support peer to peer disease experience exchanges among patients
Provide patient-focused education to promote behavioral change for the empowerm! ent of patients.
Foster dialogue between patient and health care provider

EOE Job Qualifications:
BA/BS degree, focus in behavioral/social sciences, public health, education or related disciplines required
Nursing degree preferred
Professional experience in Social Work, Education, Case Management or Disease management in a patient/ health related field preferred.
Ability to travel extensively (75-95%)
Very strong time management skills; planning and prioritization skills; and effective presentation skills; excellent communications skills â€" both written and verbal
Proven success working with or within Community Ba! sed Organizations or other patient health-related, community focused or! ganizations providing services to targeted populations
Ability to work and drive for results in cross-functional teams
Initiative and vision: challenge existing assumptions and interpretations; Drive and enthusiasm
Fully competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
