Location: Knoxville Tennessee

Description: State of Tennessee- Department of Health is currently seeking to employ Public Health Representative 2 right now, this job will be placed in Tennessee. Detailed specification about this job opportunity please read the description below. Responsible for professional public health field contact work of average difficulty; and performs related work as required. This is the working class i! n the Public Health Representative sub-series. An employee in this class implements the sexually transmitted disease (STD) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) programs within county health departments in the East TN region. This employee will perform a full range of epidemiological investigation, disease control program implementation, prevention program monitoring and case management.

Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to one year of full- time professional health program experience that involves the investigation, prevention or treatment of individuals with communicable diseases. Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time professional health program experience that involves the investigation, prevention or treatment of individuals with communicable diseases may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of fo! ur years. Substitution of Education for Experience: Additional! qualifying graduate coursework in public health, public health education, epidemiology, nursing, or social work may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of one year (e.g., 36 graduate quarter hours in one or a combination of the above listed fields may substitute for one year of the required experience).

A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
