Demonstrates competence in services provided. Adheres to all WHS policies, maintains all annual/periodic requirements of WHS, and other requirements of credentialing bodies. Takes! responsibility for their role in the operational excellence within their department by ensuring the delivery of quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, professional standards, and customer needs. Consistently anticipates the needs of the customer by demonstrating initiative, flexibility, appropriate risk taking, and sound judgment. Hospice nursing duties shall include, but are not limited to: Assessing a patient's needs and admission for services as appropriate. Working with IDT (Interdisciplinary team) to develop a plan of care; implementing the plan of care; obtaining physician's orders when necessary; Providing those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill; educating the patient and family in the care of the patient, including pain management; Evaluating outcomes of services; Coordinating and communicating the patient's physical or medical condition to the IDT; preparing clinical notes, and supervising licensed practical! nurses and home health aides/ attendants providing delegated nursing services; coordinating the implementation of each patient's plan of care.
AD or BSN in Nursing with minimum 2 years experience, (Med-Surg or Critical care preferred, but not required). Valid RN license.
BLS is required for any RN, LPN, PCT, Patient Transporter or other direct patient care provider. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Units, PACU, Medical Emergency Team and Anesthesia require ACLS. Pediatrics, SICU, Emergency Department and Medical Emergency Team also require PALS.
