Summary: A SJNMR Nurse Practitioner is an experienced team member who provides various medical care and treatment to patients in the medical clinic under the direction of the Physician.
Some of the essential duties and responsibilities include:
Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests! to identify and assess patient’s clinical problems and health care needs
Recording physical findings, while being able to formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition
Discussing the case with Physicians and other health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan
Submiting health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation by Physician
Prescribing or recommending various forms of treatment such as physical therapy, behavioral health therapy, or related therapeutic procedures
Performing treatment injections for specific diagnoses according to practice protocols
Demonstrating flexibility and leadership qualities, as well as the ability to work independently
Guides and mentors MA, RN and LPNs when necessary
Qualifications
Master's degree (M. S.) or equivalent
At least two to five years related experience and/or training;! or equivalent combination of education and experience preferr! ed
Valid Tennessee Nurse Practitioner license required
Previous nursing experience required
Pain Management, orthopedics preferred and other related specialties will be considered
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient in electronic medical records utilization (Centricity is preferred)
Able to work successful in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be a team player and be a self-starter when necessary
Ability to provide outstanding communication to employees at all levels, both orally and in writing
Willingness to travel between offices on a weekly basis
