Role Summary
Responsible for patient safety initiatives including development and management of pharmacy qu! ality improvement retrospective drug utilization reviews (rDUR). This includes but is not limited to data analysis, investigation of quality grievances, and provider and member outreach. .
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain drug utilization initiatives to support HealthSpring Pharmacy Services to facilitate quality healthcare and ensure patient safety.
Manage the implementation and evaluation of the Pharmacy Quality Improvement Program to assure continuous improvement in healthcare and business processes.
Provides recommendations on the Pharmacy Quality Improvement processes to assist the quality program’s efficiency.
Identify, develop and maintain rDUR including tracking, trending and implementing actions for improvement.
Coordinates and manages pharmacy quality reviews that can effect HEDIS measures assuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Presents findings from monthly pharmacy reports to the! Pharmacy Quality Initiatives Workgroup. Under direction of th! is workgroup, the Coordinator may be responsible for clinical initiatives including but not limited to:
Document development
Provider and/or member outreach
Tracking and/or trending
Research medication updates including FDA warnings
Reports monthly activities to the Pharmacy Quality Improvement Committee.
Develops and monitors processes to assure Clinical Pharmacy Services compliance with CMS requirements through development of self-monitoring and auditing processes for policies and procedures.
Investigate potential quality of care grievances and/or issues.
Other duties as assigned.
Work hours - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday

Requirements
Requirements
Registered nurse with current unrestricted license in the State of Tennessee.
Clinical nursing experience preferred.
1-2 years experience in quality improvement or related managed care s! etting preferred.
Knowledge of CMS regulatory standards preferred.
Experience with health plan regulatory reviews and HEDIS preferred.
Strong computer skills to include Excell and Mircosoft Access
