Role Summary:
To utilize professional training in a corporate onsite clinic to provide care to employees and! /or dependents Ability to evaluate employees/patients and make clinical decisions related to acute care needs along with appropriate wellness screening exams. This obtained knowledge is then utilized to make appropriate treatment and referrals into appropriate CIGNA programs.
Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose, treat, and triage Urgent Care patients requiring limited to no follow-up
2. Diagnose and treat acute care which can include
up to 15 visits
per day for an illness or injury that is limited in its recurrence
3. Work in conjunction with patients PCP, coordinating care of chronic and acute conditions, i.e., blood pressure checks, Glucose monitoring, etc.
4. Oversight and ability to perform specimen collection onsite for employee convenience
5. Ability to provide oversight and run onsite CLIA waived tests
6. Ability to evaluate patients who need to go on, or are already on, Short Term Disabilit! y and work with the Case Management team
7. To work w! ith onsite employees to provide biometric screening and education in clinic
8. To provide Travel Medicine recommendation and immunizations
9. Perform procedures such as IV administration, , and PAP smears
10. To assist in developing and implementing onsite health promotion and education programs (i.e., weight loss, smoking cessation, chronic conditions, etc.)
11. To evaluate and refer patients into Chronic Condition Management, health coaching lifestyle management programs as needed
12. To dispense prepackaged medications and samples onsite (if allowable by law)
14. Promote team approach to healthcare through fostering of relationship with MAA
15. Keep license current and attend appropriate CME educational opportunities
16. To assist in the development of appropriate treatment protocols based on Evidence Based Medicine when applicable.
17. The ability to communicate with both internal and exter! nal customers
18. The ability to present to group of employees on various related health topics
Qualifications:
1. Licensed RN
2. Licensed Nurse Practitioner (Master Program)
3. Graduate of Certified Nurse Practitioner Program
4. Prefer greater than 3 years experience with a desired experience in clinic management
5. Pharmacy and DEA prescription privileges or eligible to obtain privileges by certified national nurse credentialing organization
6. BLS certification and the ability to utilize an AED
7. Excellent team building skills
8. Ability to partner with local HR to better employee¿s health
9. Ability to speak to groups
10. Working knowledge and understanding of HIPAA privacy regulations
11. Good computer skills using MS Office Products (Word/Excel)

Hours are Mon-Fri 8-430 - clinic is open to all Cigna Chattanoo! ga employees and their dependents ages 15 and older. .
