Nurse Practitioner - Hospice - FT

Location: Gallatin Tennessee

Description: Sumner Regional Medical Center is at the momment seeking for Nurse Practitioner - Hospice - FT right now, this job will be placed in Tennessee. Full-Time position with weekend call rotation.

Ed! ucation: MS in Nursing required.
Experience: One to two years experience with direct patient care required. Palliative Care experience strongly desired.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current Tennessee or compact state RN licensure required. Must meet and maintain all state requirements to practice as a Nurse Practitioner. Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) required. If not certified upon, must be willing to obtain within designated time frame. Must have a valid drivers license; clean MVR and automobile insurance. BLS certification from approved American Heart Association training center required within 90 days of employment, if not current upon hire.
Skills: Required to drive own vehicle on a daily basis performing hospice business. Knowledge of the special care of the patient, including patience, empathy, and the dying process, and willingness to assist with personal needs is required. Must be articulate, able to comm! unicate efficiently and possess the ability to be the patient ! advocate. Requires poise to work in clearly established job framework and communicate effectively with co-workers, patients, visitors or peer representative of outside agencies; to recognize sensitive situations and refer them to the appropriate person for resolution. Requires the ability to lean and select appropriate work procedures for several related tasks; to analyze problems and determine corrective measures within established framework; to initiate prescribed corrective action or to seek supplemental direction as required.
