The Charge Master Analyst primarily responsible for maintaining the CDM; improving the flow process of maintenance; working collaboratively with facility
personnel, IS, management and preferred vendors; monitoring compliance with Corporate, Federal and State guidelines; prioritizing; maintaining timely turnaround; serving as a resource when necessary; performing periodic audits; monitoring facility charging mechanisms and systems.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Monitor all facility charge masters to ensure compliance with Corporate, Federal and State initiatives
- Understands and applies APC regulations
- Continuously reviews and updates regulations and maintains a current knowledge base
- Assists with the standardization process for facilities
- Checks spreadsheet submissions for compliance in billing
- Assists, as needed, with data entry, billing/audit questions, facility inquiries, in-service education,
- Ensures proper maintenance of Charge Master an! d related processes
- Coordinate with department manage! rs to identify trends and address issues related to appropriate
- Analyze Charge Master statistics on monthly basis and perform associated analyses
- Review results of periodic audits and take appropriate action as indicated
- Practice and adhere to the âCode of Conductâ philosophy and âMission and Value Statementâ
- Other duties as assigned

- A minimum of an Associateâs Degree in Nursing or other related clinical profession is required
- Must be have additional training in CPT/ICD-9 coding principles
- Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement
- Minimum 3 years related work experience required, preferably in Nursing or Medical Records
- Chart/Bill audit experience preferred
- Understanding of billing, reimbursement, compliance and CPT background preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Columbia P! atient Care System, Patient Accounting, Collections and
