The Solution Specialist develops and delivers value-based ancillary solution demonstrations and presentations to Pharmacists, Laboratory and Radiology Departments, hospital executives and s! taff.

  • Develop and deliver value-based demonstrations and presentations for all levels in the healthcare organization (providers, clinicians, staff and executives)
  • Create functional solution content for RFI/RFP responses
  • Serve as a Product Owner for the Sales Solutions team representing one or more HMS products
  • Attend industry specific tradeshows and conferences
  • Participate in Sales Solutions team special projects
  • Effectively manage administrative tasks associated with the role
  • Maintain currency with industry and professional standards through continuing education opportunities
Detailed Responsibilities (Others May Be Assigned):
Develop and deliver value-based demonstrations and presentations

  • Demonstration Scope: Deliver high-level full ancillary solution suite 1-2 hour overviews and detailed product-level demonstrations totaling 3-6 hours of product demonstrations! . Products include, but are not limited to: Pharmacy, Laborato! ry, Radiology, Physician Order Management, Nursing Medication Administration, Clinical Dashboards & Reporting and Meaningful Use deliverables. Demonstration delivery format will be web-based as well as on-site
  • Effectively complete all follow-up tasks associated with demonstrations (i.e., respond to all follow-up questions in a timely manner)
  • Participate in internal planning calls and meetings with Sales team members in preparation for demonstration
  • Conduct prospect discovery sessions to understand the client’s specific needs and perform a fit/gap analysis of the HMS solution to meet the client’s needs
  • Create custom product solutioning, demonstration flow and scripts that address the client’s specific needs and demonstrates the value the HMS solution delivers including qualitative and quantitative value statements and competitive differentiators
  • Stay current with product release functionality, market needs, competitive infor! mation and value/ROI associated with the HMS solution
  • As needed, assist with maintaining and testing current demo environment and ensuring demo environment contains realistic demo data
Create functional content for RFI/RFP responses

  • Work with RFP Coordinator and other Sales Solutions team members to create an effective solution stack based on each RFI/RFP’s needs
  • Craft value-based responses to functional product RFI/RFP inquiries. Maintain current response content in RFP Central Data Repository
Serve as Product Owner for the Sales Solutions team representing one or more HMS products

  • Function as liaison for the Sales Solutions team for specifically assigned products. This includes, but is not limited to interaction with corresponding Product Managers and Product Marketing
  • Capture and communicate market and prospect feedback for product enhancements and prioritization of enhancements to Pro! duct Management and Development. Participate in Product Management Rele! ase Roadmap planning and Product Development Agile story grooming sessions
  • Capture and communicate market feedback for solution value/ROI and competitive information to Product Marketing
  • Disseminate information and train other Sales Solutions team members on product information and releases from Product Development and Marketing
Attend industry specific tradeshows and conferences

  • Participate in lead generation through trade show and conference booth duties
  • Deliver conference session presentations
  • Deliver prospect demonstrations
Participate in Sales Solutions team special projects

(i.e., review and improve team or department processes and forms)

Effectively manage administrative tasks associated with the role

  • Manage and respond to email, voicemail and deliverable deadlines in a timely manner
  • Effectively coordinate travel and submit expense reports
  • Maintain currency with industry and professional standards through continuing education opportunities

    • Seek out and attend role specific, healthcare industry and presales professional conferences, webinars and trainings
    • Subscribe to and read pertinent periodicals and email communications to maintain currency
    Requirements:
    • Must be able to travel up to 50%
    • Bachelor degree required
    • Minimum 2-5 years ancillary knowledge or experience with a preference for pharmacy related knowledge/experience
    • Minimum 2-5 years related sales, training and/or information technology experience in a healthcare market or environment preferred
    • Basic understanding of pharmacy, laboratory or radiology processes with a preference for applicants with pharmacy specific knowledge/experience
    • Outstanding presentation skills (delivery of a sample presentation will be required for finalist applicants)

    • Excel in interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quic! kly (ability to interact with all levels of an organization: staff, clinician, manager/director and C-level)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (writing sample will be required for finalist applicants)
    • Must be detail oriented, organized and have the ability to multi-task
    • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment (inter-department and cross-department)
    • Must be flexible with a “can do” attitude and have the ability to remain professional under high pressure situations
    • Strong computer and Microsoft Office application skills (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
    • Demonstrated desire and ability to deliver Outrageous Customer Service! Sales Solution’s customers include prospects, existing clients, Sales team members, other internal HMS departments and HMS partners
