The ExpressCare Assistant role performs a variety of order picking, packing, receiving, inspection, shipping and housekeeping tasks in accordance with defined job processes with a focus on safety and quality in a 24-hour, global Logistics Center. The ExpressCare Assistant (ECA) will interact with the computer system to perform assigned functions, as well as comprehend and demonstrate compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and ! work instructions.
The ECA role is responsible for pr! oviding constructive input to enhance the work process/environment by making suggestions and implementing process changes in coordination with the Operations Supervisor to ensure the achievement of the Logistics Center objectives.
You will check in ExpressCare implant sets to include: scanning inventory, completing inventory transfers and returns, ordering replacement parts, and sorting mixed sets. Check in ExpressCare instrument sets to include: performing visual inspection and functional checks using established criteria sheets, ensure all required instruments are present in set, order replacements parts when necessary. The successful candidate will assist in receiving incoming sets and sorting to appropriate holding location and will load and operate autoclave. Additionally you will receive in loose finished goods inventory and put to stock or match with appropriate sets and complete shipping functions to include: forwarding and issuing sets to customer, ! communicating incomplete set information to customer service, assembling packing lists, and completing shipping manifest. Candidate will also operate the shrink wrap machine and carry 24 hour pager on rotating schedule. Assist Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager with projects and/or special assignments as required, conduct expired product inspection and assist with physical inventory.
This position will also perform housekeeping duties as directed to maintain a safe and clean working environment and must execute all safety policies, rules and regulations. Maintain LC equipment and materials in a safe, neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and report all incidents/accidents/injuries immediately upon discovery to Supervisor/Safety Coordinator/Nurse
Satisfy completion and certification of all safety, material handling, drug handling, and any other required training as i! dentified by Johnson & Johnson
Qualifications
High sc! hool diploma or equivalent degree required as well as a minimum of 1 year Logistics/warehouse experience; Healthcare industry experience preferred. Experience in quality assurance inspection, packaging, or returned goods inspection preferred.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to do simple math, count accurately, read and write legibly and the ability to perform tasks requiring physical abilities as noted in the section below. Excellent verbal communication skills are also required along with strong collaboration skills - team member; ability to contribute positively to the morale of the team. Candidate must also have a demonstrated flexibility/sense of urgency (Takes direction and accomplishes tasks quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality) with the ability to follow policies, SOPs, regulations and legal requirement knowledge while producing according to established goals and standards
This position requires the ability t! o lift at least 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis, stand and/or walk on concrete floors 95% of the time, the ability to bend/twist/squat; perform repetitive tasks and the ability to use all job-related equipment.
The work environment is a normal warehouse setting. Travel is not required for this position. The physical demands described here and above are representative of those an employee encounters to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee must also be able to stand, twist, bend and walk on a repetitive basis on a concrete floor. The employee must be able to repetitively lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
