The Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology is inviting applications f! or one full-time tenure-track biostatistics faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The Department offers Graduate Certificates and MPH degrees in both Biostatistics and Epidemiology and a DrPH degree in Epidemiology. ETSU is a public university, founded in 1911, that has over 15,000 students and has more than 2,000 graduate and professional students. In addition to the CEPH-accredited College of Public Health, there are Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences.
Johnson City is located in scenic northeast Tennessee surrounded by mountains and lakes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Faculty research interests include chronic disease epidemiology, cancer epidemiology, cardiovascular epidemiology, perinatal and pediatric epidemiology, genetic epidemiology, multiple behavioral risk factors, health disparities! , maternal and child health, and gender-based violence. Biosta! tistical research interests include biostatistical methods, statistical methodology and modeling for public health and medicine, statistical genetics, and statistical methods and modeling for cardiovascular and renal diseases.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must possess at time of employment one of the following: 1) doctoral degree in biostatistics; or 2) doctoral degree in a biostatistics-related field and at least three years of substantial biostatistics professional or research experience. Applicants must have a record of peer-reviewed scholarship. A successful candidate is expected to obtain competitive extramural funding. Teaching and mentorship of students are required.
